E-commerce sellers
Sellers on marketplaces must reconcile every settlement against orders, returns, fees and the tax the marketplace collects.
Who uses it: Brands and manufacturers selling on online marketplaces or their own website.
Common problems without an ERP
- Marketplace payouts never match sales.
- Returns come back and are not checked in.
- TCS credit is missed.
What the company gains
- Orders, returns and payouts reconciled.
- Stock shared between channels.
- TCS credit claimed.

Government rules to follow
- GST registration
- CGST Act s.24: anyone selling through an operator that collects TCS must register, whatever the turnover.
- TCS
- Operators collect 0.5% GST TCS on net sales and file GSTR-8; sellers claim the credit.
- Income-tax
- Operators also deduct income-tax on sellers' sales under the Income-tax Act, 2025.
- Warranty and returns
- From 1 January 2027, the amended E-Commerce Rules require warranty and return terms to be shown before sale.
