Quality rejection tracking tied to orders and lots
Record inspections and rejections against the manufacturing order and the material lot, raise CAPA reports and keep gauge calibration dates in one place.
Rejections that point somewhere
A rejection register that says "5 pieces, burr" tells you what went wrong. It does not tell you which order made those pieces or which bar of steel they came from. In ARUKZ ERP a rejection is linked to both.
What you record
- Inspections. Define the parameters to check for a product, such as a dimension, hardness or a visual check, and record the result.
- Rejections. Product, quantity and defect type, with the manufacturing order that made the parts and the material lot they were made from.
- CAPA reports. For a repeat problem, an 8D report: the team, the problem, containment, root cause, corrective action, verification and prevention.
- Calibration. Keep each gauge and instrument with its last and next calibration date.
Where rejections show up
Because a rejection is linked to its order and lot, it appears in the places you already look:
| Screen | What you see |
|---|---|
| Lot traceability | Rejections made from that lot of material |
| Production target | The quantity lost to quality in the period, as one of the reasons the target was missed |
| Rejections list | Every rejection, filterable by product and defect type |
If the same lot of steel keeps appearing against rejections, that is a supplier conversation. If the same order or work centre does, it is a process one.
A worked example
In the sample factory, 25 brake caliper brackets were made on order MO/00001 from steel lot STEEL-2026-001. Five were rejected for a burr on the mounting hole. The rejection is linked to both, so the lot screen shows it, and the monthly production target lists 5 units under "Quality rejection".
Roles
A ready-made Quality Inspector role gives a person the quality screens and read access to the orders and lots they need, without access to sales, purchases or accounts.
What it does not do
ARUKZ ERP does not produce statistical process control charts, and it does not print PPAP or control-plan documents. It keeps the records those documents are built from.
