Exporters
Exporters invoice in foreign currency, ship without IGST under a Letter of Undertaking, and must realise payment within RBI limits.
Who uses it: Manufacturer-exporters and merchant exporters.
Common problems without an ERP
- Unrealised export bills are noticed only when the bank asks.
- Exchange differences are booked by hand.
- LUT conditions are forgotten.
What the company gains
- Invoices in the buyer's currency.
- Every shipment tracked to payment.
- Exchange rates on one table.
Numbers to watch
- Unrealised export proceeds by age
- Exchange gain or loss
- RoDTEP pending
