GST and tax compliance
Making every invoice, return and tax payment correct: GST on sales and purchases, e-invoices, e-way bills, and TDS.
Who uses it: Every GST-registered business, and the CA who files its returns.
What the company gains
- No invoice with the wrong tax.
- Claim every rupee of input tax credit you are owed.
- Avoid interest, late fees and blocked e-way bills.
- Returns prepared from the books, not typed again.
Government rules to follow
- CGST + SGST or IGST
- Inside the state: CGST and SGST. To another state: IGST. Place of supply decides it.
- E-invoice
- B2B invoices need an IRN above ₹5 crore aggregate turnover. Above ₹10 crore, report within 30 days of the invoice date.
- Returns
- GSTR-1 for sales and GSTR-3B for the summary and payment, monthly, or quarterly under QRMP up to ₹5 crore. GSTR-9 every year.
- Input tax credit
- Only for invoices in your GSTR-2B (Rule 36(4)). A supplier unpaid after 180 days means the credit is reversed (Rule 37).
- E-way bill
- GST Rule 138: goods moved with a value above ₹50,000.
- TDS
- Income-tax Act, 2025, in force since 1 April 2026: deduct TDS on contractor, professional, rent and other payments and file quarterly statements.
