ERP for small businesses (MSME)
The same core as a big ERP (sales, purchase, stock, accounts, payroll) but simple enough to start in a day and priced for a small team.
Who uses it: Businesses with roughly 5 to 200 people, run today on accounting software plus spreadsheets and phone calls.
What the company gains
- One record instead of five spreadsheets.
- The owner sees orders, stock and cash from a phone.
- Fewer missed deliveries and missed payments.
- Clean books ready for the bank, the auditor and GST.
Government rules to follow
- Udyam registration
- Free online MSME registration. It unlocks the delayed-payment protection below and many government schemes.
- 45-day payment
- MSMED Act s.15: a buyer pays a micro or small supplier by the agreed date, never later than 45 days, or within 15 days if nothing was agreed.
- Interest on late payment
- MSMED Act s.16: compound interest at three times the RBI bank rate, which the buyer cannot claim as a tax expense.
- Income-tax
- Income-tax Act, 2025 s.37(2)(g): a payment to a micro or small supplier made after that limit counts as an expense only when it is actually paid.
- TReDS
- Companies with turnover above ₹250 crore must be on TReDS, so a small supplier can get their invoices discounted there.
- GST registration
- ₹40 lakh turnover for goods-only suppliers in most states, ₹20 lakh otherwise, ₹10 lakh in special-category states. Composition scheme up to ₹1.5 crore.
